Papemakers have certain rules.
And they all hang on this one: If you're not
helping to improve or at least maintain machine runnability,
then you're a liability. Walking around in a paper mill
without the tools to maintain, cleanup, accelerate, improve
or communicate doesn't help anybody.
The Duckbill SPMM
(Single Platform:
Many Modules) holsters pictured here are strictly
for papermakers. And they were developed with help and input
from users at the finishing end of the machine. The ones
who are responsible for manipulating parent rolls and for
cleaning and prepping reels before they go back on the machine.
Depending on mill policy, machine age and speed, paper
or board grade, coated or SC, chemical or mechanical, there
are different tools for the work. Each of our modules are
configured in a slightly different way to meet specific
task criteria and tool mix selection (i.e. paper
stripper, reel
slabber, roll stock cutter or roll stripper).
Perhaps you're more involved in engineering, (electrical
or mechanical) maintenance and housekeeping tasks, Duckbill
offers many other configurations and holster modules besides
those pictured here.
Or, if you're worried about making a fashion statement,
check out the special-service belts
approach with a finished look and profile to complement
an office or business-casual look.
Duckbill SPMM modules for
papermakers include:
- All leather construction
- SPMM modules are engineered to NOT slide,
rotate, hang limply from the belt (or suspender),
or move away from the target position (unless or until
re-positioned or interchanged by the user/wearer).
- An engineered contour that runs the vertical length
of the SPMM module conforms to the hip and prevents
flapping keeps hand tools close to the body and
away from rotating machinery.
- Deep pockets prevent dropped tools and tool loss.
