Duckbill makes and supplies a range
of ingenious modules for general and light maintenance use.
Because while it's true that every job in an industrial/institutional/commercial
arena is not the same, it's not true that ergonomics and
smart design don't have a place because they do.
Not every user in every capacity requires the same mix of
hand tools, instruments and devices. Not everybody needs
to carry 15 16 pounds of gear (sometimes more) all
day.
But that doesn't mean the Duckbill
Agility Platform
gear you use and carry doesn't need to be of the same quality
and craftsmanship or benefit from the same engineering principles
and innovation as heavy and frequent users.
Easy and ergonomic access is just as important. Protection
from dust, grime, sparks, grit, moisture, falls, drops and
loss are just as important.
Not every Duckbill Agility Platform hand tool,
instrument and device module for general and light maintenance
is pictured on this page.
But that's because the Agility Platform platform
is designed to be flexible, interchangeable to be
tuned-up and dialed-in the way you want it and need it to
be. Pick and choose to support your task and tool mix.
Agility Platform modules
for light and general maintenance include:
- Agility Platform modules are engineered
to NOT slide, rotate, hang limply from the belt (or
suspender), or move away from the target position
(unless or until re-positioned or interchanged by the
user/wearer).
- All leather construction (with flaps and Velcro®)
is engineered to protect lens from dust, grime, sparks,
grit, moisture, falls, drops and loss.
- Many are designed with dielectric applications in
mind.
- Most modules can be mounted horizontally or vertically
depending on ergonomic requirements, user preference and/or
access frequency.
- Conventional tools like adjustable "monkey" wrenches,
keys, knives, pliers, pens, etc.
- Communication gear like pagers, mobile phones and
2-way radios.
- Task-specific holsters for cable ties for example.
- Tool-specific holsters for "Crescent" type wrenches,
tin snips, landscape pruners and wire-cutters.
- Supplemental gear like lightweight gloves, ear plugs,
etc
- Logistical tools like PDA.s, Blackberry type devices,
condition-monitoring/detection gear
- Eyewear, like sunglasses, goggles
